Wellbeing Resources – Week of August 3

While there continue to be many ways employees can use support, Family Wellbeing should be a key area of focus right now.  Schools across the country are releasing their options for re-opening and there is one key theme; almost all those plans indicate that children will be doing some of their learning at home.

As parents wait for the final school schedule, they are left with more questions than answers.  Who will support my kids with schoolwork while we (the parents) are working?  Will my child be able to keep up?  How much is this going to cost me?

Some companies may have budgets that allow them to provide additional support to their employees in the form of tutoring services or childcare support.  But for the many companies that cannot provide that level of support, the simple of act of having managers open a dialogue with each working parent on their team will go a long way.  That open dialogue may minimize the risk of having an unproductive employee or an employee that feels their only option is to leave the workforce.

Have a safe and healthy week.
