DEERFIELD, IL (May 31, 2018) — Alera Group, a national employee benefits, property and casualty, risk management and wealth management firm, appointed Danielle Capilla, JD, as Director of Compliance, Employee Benefits.
In her role as Director of Compliance, Employee Benefits, Capilla will focus on enhancing Alera Group’s existing compliance capabilities and building new world class solutions for Alera Group’s employee benefits clients. Capilla’s legal background will help Alera Group clients navigate the complex landscape of healthcare legislation, regulation and reform.
“Danielle Capilla is a dynamic addition to our employee benefits practice leadership team,” said John Clark, Employee Benefits Practice Leader. “Her previous experience leading compliance efforts on a national scale will provide a strong foundation for the expanded employee benefits compliance of Alera Group.”
Capilla was formerly the Senior Vice President of Compliance and Operations at United Benefit Advisors. In her role, she oversaw the organization’s compliance efforts and day-to-day operations, as well as evaluated the impact of long range planning. She currently serves as an adjunct professor at DePaul University College of Law and is the Federal and State Legislative Chair for the Downtown Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).
